Linus Tech Tips

Linus is one of the internet’s most reliable and long-standing sources of tech reviews, news and entertainment.  His reviews are thorough, direct and entertaining. With the more recent addition of ‘Scrapyard Wars’, you can almost argue he’s changing how the world interacts with tech. This channel is a must for all tech heads.

Cyanide & Happiness – Explosm Entertainment

One of the longest standing producers of cartoons on the web Cyanide & Happiness has a YouTube channel, it’s pretty awesome. The style of comedy ranges and no topics are off limits, they cover just about everything and it’s always creative. A good place to start other than the video above is the Ted bear series.

Karl Watson

Highly underrated channel in the travel segment. His India trip is a bit of a must watch for anyone planning a trip to India and anyone with some free time to kick back and enjoy an great indepth journey. Karl is a very relaxed and friendly guy as well. Epic channel

Primitive Technology

One of the most popular and impressive bushcraft/survival channels, Primitive Technology is all about creating “primitive” tools, structures and other items using the bare materials found in the wild. The channel host in conspicuously quiet, leaving his techniques and the far North Queensland bush unadulterated. The things he creates hardly seem primitive by the time he’s done! A very informative and entertaining channel.

Kurzgesagt – In a Nutshell

This is arguably the best science YouTube channel on the list, each video has around 200 hours put into it and boy oh boy does it show. The animations lure your mind into a sponge like state and the information just seems to flow in.  The Fermi Paradox video (above) is essentially the peak of interesting things on YouTube, it’s all about the big question; ‘if space is so big, then where are the aliens?’ it’s a fascinating look into all the struggles that we and other alien life forms would face. They even made a follow up video that’s about how we could circumvent these issues.

Binging with Babish

This is a ripping channel. It all starts with one question: What does the food of the film world actually taste like?. He breaks down some of the myths, some of the legends and some of the absolute greats. You’ll see him make legends like the Krabby Patty (above) some of Bob’s best burgers, waffles out of the Simpsons and even the pizza from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Cannot Stress enough how great this channel is.

Marques Brownlee – MKBHD

Started from his college dorm room this channel has exploded in popularity and for good reason, the quality is high and the entertainment is great too. Marques reviews a range of tech products but specializes in phones so it’s the place to head when you want a new one or just enjoy keeping up with the latest and greatest. He does comparison vids, tests of capabilities and a heap more. Marques is largely what lists like these are about, a passion for what he does and a knack for delivering it in a entertaining way, oh and once again the video production quality puts just about everything out there to shame. This is a must subscribe for the tech heads.

SmarterEveryDay

Destin’s channel Smarter Every Day is about as good as it gets when it comes to science on YouTube. Destin has earnt a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering and a graduate degree in aerospace engineering. He works as a rocket engineer and with these credentials it’s pretty clear that you’re going to witness and learn some really awesome stuff. The channel is friendly and accessible for basically any audience, Destin still manages not to talk down to his viewers or compromise the information. This is because of his sheer passion for exploring the world of science and sharing it with as many people as possible. Subscribe and enjoy!

videogamedunkey

Description says “watch my stupid ass videos”. Do it. Dunkey has an amazing ability to not only review a game in one video but in doing so perfect summarize the feel and quality of the game. You’ll also be left in stitches along the way. A must Sub channel.

JonTron Show

What is the JonTronShow you ask, well its hard to explain. He’s probably the perfect blend of gaming, entertainment and comedy when it comes to his content and he hasn’t succumbed to the ultra PC crowd either which is beyond refreshing. He may take the odd long hiatus from content production but because he’s such a good host people always hang around for when he’s back. On his channel you can expect to see all kinds of big names pop through to join him as he plays games and makes skits. One of the best Channels on YoutTube.

PewDiePie

Not much of an explanation is needed for YouTube’s biggest star but here’s one anyway. He plays video games, makes memes, reviews memes, reacts to online videos, calls out the cancers of modern society and has a really nice chair that’s only 399.

Vsauce

“Hey Vsauce, Michael here” if you don’t know those words then get ready to be acquainted with them, he’s one of the most successful YouTubers because he’s almost too good. I mean how many people can say they’ve been given the opportunity of interviewing David Attenborough also known as the worlds greatest living treasure, that’s right not many. His content is packed full of things to blow your mind and the production value is immense. He’s even teamed up with Adam Savage from Mythbusters and tested to produce a YouTube red series that’s supposed to be fantastic.

The Slow Mo Guys

All sorts of incredibly cool materials, experiments and collisions filmed in unconceivably slow motion. Gavin and Dan are your hosts and both are very entertaining guys. The channel has a fairly slow release schedule due to Dan and Gavin’s other commitments, but this also makes the moment you do see a video pop up in your feed extra special.

ChrisFix

Chances are that if you’re into cars, you probably want to do some of the work yourself. ChrisFix is almost an institution when it comes to maintaining and working on cars, he’s taught millions of people how to fix just about everything.  His videos are super easy to follow and unbelievably clear. Great guy, great videos. Enjoy!

AWE me

This channel runs a number of series, they are all spectacular but perhaps the best is Man at Arms:

Man at arms: This is a show about making some of the most amazing weapons from movie and gaming culture, they use a range of technique from traditional to modern but it’s amazing to watch. All of the weapons are made to be used as well so this leads to some pretty spectacular scenes at the ends of episodes.

DIY Prop Shop: Gaming and movie props galore, from fallout to Warhammer they’ve done it all and continue to do so!

DIY Cos Play Shop: All about making those outfits for your next event!

Epic How to: A scenario, you put in it and all of the answer you wish you had. From how to survive being buried alive to How to become a pirate you now have the answers to things you didn’t think you needed.

Super Gamer builds: Epic builds of cool pieces from video games, A good play to start with is the Uncharted 4 Treasure Chest Build.

Demolition Ranch

“NOT YOUR AVERAGE GUN CHANNEL”  Damn right its not. This channel is run by a guy named Matt who stitches together awesome videos about shooting stuff with guns and interesting/weird stuff out of them too. Matts sense of humor is one of the things that makes this channel great, he also has two other channels: Off the Ranch and Vet Ranch.

Oh and watch out for creepy Cooter…..
